Cameras, Featured, Still

Sony Cybershot DSC S950I’ve always been a fan of Sony products due to is designs. Whether its a camera, TV, stereo or an MP3 player, a Sony product is bound to be beautifully designed. Recently, I have had the privilege of reviewing the Sony Cybershot DSC-S950 10MP digital camera (black). Here is my take of this compact point-and-shoot model.

This model has a 10.1 mega-pixel image sensor that enables you to capture high resolution images. Capture the finest details of a shot and crop away knowing that you will still get a high resolution image. The Sony Cybershot DSC-S950 10MP digital camera also has a 4x optical zoom for close-ups and taking images of subjects at a distance.

On the back, there is a spacious 2.7-inch LCD display that produces crisp previews of the shots. It also comes with auto-stabilization that prevent blur pictures caused by camera shakes. This model has eight ISO settings (100-3200) that helps you capture the perfect shot under various lighting conditions.

The design of the Sony Cybershot DSC-S950 10MP digital camera plays of some geometric shapes. The camera is an almost perfect rectangle with slightly rounded corners. The perfectly round frames around the lens are silver in color, creating a nice contrast against the matte black background. The flash consist of a slim and discreet rectangle shape next to the logo. Weighing at just 1.2 pounds and 0.9-inch in thickness, you can easily carry it with you wherever you go.

Although the Sony Cybershot DSC-S950 10MP digital camera may not be the most advanced when it comes to performance and features, its good looks may be good enough of a reason for many of us to get one. It is a perfect choice if you are looking for a compact, and stylish no-frills camera. If you are looking for more savvy and feature-filled compact model, consider the Canon PowerShot SD110IS digital camera.
