It’s amazing to us that people have no idea that these exist. Go ahead and ask your friends at work if they’ve ever heard of such a thing. We’ll bet they say no.
Perhaps it is the daunting but actually simple configuration that is required. Who knows.
Anyway, there are currently a variety of flash memory cards that now have built in WiFi in the card itself. This allows the data on the card to be transferred wirelessly over to you PC or Mac. No need to hook up any USB cables. All the data transfers over your home wireless network securely.
It works with your digital camera or pretty much any other device that uses a flash memory card.
They work great once you get them configured correctly. If you were able to setup your home wireless router with relative ease, you will be able to handle this with no problem.
There’s a bunch of brands on the market in all the standard sizes. Right now, they are a little bit on the pricey side, but that’s probably due to a lack of demand/awareness at this point.
